A 7.4 earthquake rattled Mexico City & Acapulco, Mexico this afternoon. There was NO tsunami threat this time for the west coast of North America.
But as you see here from the electronic seismograph on Mt. Hood, energy traveled thru the earth all the way to Oregon’s famous mountain! This is the long lasting squiggle area where it’s choppy from left to right.
Because quakes this size pack such a punch…it’s almost like the earth is ‘ringing’ for awhile.
The lone green squiggle higher up is another in a series of Mt. Hood micro-quakes. 45 in the last month…and counting…
