Local weather enthusiast and photographer Tyler Mode was near Battleground, Washington on Wednesday April 11, 2012, when he says this funnel cloud developed quite close to him.
Apparently it only lasted a couple of minutes and then it was gone. A sign of unstable and cooler air moving into the skies above us.
Wow…check out these angry clouds in SE Portland on the afternoon of April 12. The couple (Janet & Norm) that sent this in told me they thought this was the early stages of a tornado. Certainly it indicated unstable air–and a downpour in the works if not already underway. And we had a lot of those!
More wild spring weather is ahead…I’m sure!
