I stumbled across this Eclipse Simulator–and wow–it is addictive!
The animation was created by Google and UC Berkeley.
It shows what the eclipse will look like, anywhere in the United States. Just pick your city.
What will the eclipse look like for my relatives in San Diego? Interesting, it’s cool, but they’re clearly a long way from the northwest.
What will the solar eclipse look like for students at my Alma Mater? It’s going to be a busy day of coverage at the University Missouri School of Journalism, that’s for sure. Columbia Missouri is in the path of totality, just like areas south of Portland, Oregon are. Nice!
The simulator also shows darkness, where the sun is on its daily path across the sky for that location and it has a time bar so you know what happens when.
Check out the Google and Cal Berkeley Eclipse Simulator and share this with you relatives across the country, so they can look you up to see what eclipse day will be like at your house!
