The rest of the country has to be jealous.
Portland, Oregon never even hit 90 degrees in July 2012. The hottest day was 88 degrees on July 8, 2012.
As you see in my graphic here, 61% of the highs were below average in Portland this month. And for the second July in a row, Portland did not hit 90 degrees. Two Julys in a row without hitting 90? That’s never happened before at the Portland Airport where records have been kept since 1941.
July 2012 Unusually Dry Around Oregon
Hillsboro had just 17% of its average July rainfall, Salem had 15% of its average rainfall in July 2012 and Redmond only 6%. Now that’s what I call a ‘dry July’!
Reminder: Last year Portland did not hit 90 until August 20th. This year we’re going to do it sooner–on August 4th.

I am very disappointed. I always watch your weather. And I still will but you have a new graphic and now no longer include all the cities like Albany in your forecasts. Channel 2 did the same thing when the new guy joined that station. New graphic, left us high and dry. You can’t desert us too! Please Don’t forget Corvallis and Albany please. Thanks
