With two boys younger than first grade at home, I’ve certainly done my share of reading kids books.
And I love the way their eyes light up.
Or the way they have a really important comment about a page we’ve read fifty times over the last few months. This is usually delivered like breaking news!
And so it was a total treat for me today to go the Clackamas Town Center Barnes & Noble and read to kiddos and their parents. This is part of an effort by my KOIN Local 6 Colleague Jeff Gianola  and the Oregon Department Of Human Services to help foster kids. The storytime is free–but people can–and several people did–pick up kids books to buy and donate right there at the store. Those books go straight to foster kids.
Thanks so much for coming out.
And for the rest of May, if you’re near a Barnes & Noble, will you please stop by and donate a kids book or two?
