You’d better get up early on Saturday April 4, 2015.
It’s time for our next ‘blood moon’ but it does not last long.Â
And as usual, viewing conditions will be questionable west of the Cascades and much better east of the mountains and for much of California.
Here are the important times:
- Partial Lunar Eclipse starts at 3:16am Pacific Daylight Time
- Total Lunar Eclipse starts at 4:48am and ends at 5:03am PDT
- Partial Lunar Eclipse ends at 6:45am
So the total eclipse (totality-the blood moon) runs a grand total of just 4 minutes and 43 seconds.
I’ll be up, hoping for a break in the clouds right about then…
Louis Bowerman says
I will be up. With all the clouds, hoping for a break.
Roland Derksen says
Hey Bruce; Don’t you have anything to say about the weather anymore? I miss your commentary…
